以美国为主的西方发达国家经历了五次兼并浪潮，这五次兼并浪潮具有不同的特征，在全面分析了我国企业兼并活动历程基础上，从国际比较角度，研究认为我国目前的兼并活动总体上处于西方第一次兼并浪潮阶段，以实现规模经济和效率化经营为兼并的主要目的，同时具有很强的转轨经济特征。

The developed countries have witnessed five M＆A waves with different characteristics. After an analysis on M＆A activities in China, it is believed that, from an international point of view, M＆A in China with the apparent transfer-economy character is on the period of the first M＆A wave, which is to realize scale economy and efficiency.
