The growth of nano-inorganic crystals induced by DNA templates is a new research field. DNA templates have a perfect and exquisite ablility of molecular recognition. It is possible to make a nanofunctional material with different structures by controlling the shape, length and sequence of DNA. The growth of a series of nano-inorganic crystals induced by DNA templates is summarized in this paper. The nano-crystals include cadmium sulfide, iron oxide, barium sulphate, magnesium chloride, silica and so on.
