Bombyx mori parvo-like virus （BmPLV） is an animal bipartite virus, replicates and packs in the nucleus of columnar cells of midgut epithelium, and causes the cell nuclei of infected cells over-expanded and stainned. The virus particles are small icosahedra, non-enveloped particles 20-24 nm in diameter. The genome contains two single-stranded DNA （VD1, VD2）, and each strand is packaged in a separate virus particle. It encodes 4 non- structural proteins NS 1, NS2, NS3 and pol （DNA polymerase）, one major structural protein VP and a sub-structural protein P133. It can be formed a ＂panhandle-shaped＂ structure with both ends of inverted repeat sequences, and its own encoding DNA polymerase, which suggests the replication will be completed by depending on covalent protein of the virus.
