An implicit compact difference Padé scheme was improved to solve the fully nonlinear Korteweg-de Vries （KdV） equations and ho-type coupled KdV equations. Particularly, this method was applied to study the behaviors of solutions of compacton and Ito-type coupled KdV equations. Numerical results show the effectiveness of this scheme.
