Mechanical behaviour of single notched concrete beam has been investigated experimentally with white - light speckle method. Displacement information of the whole field was measured at a series of time points. The shortcomings of conventional test methods with strain gauge have been avoided. This experimental methods is easy to be used in various deformation including finite deformation and small deformation
