包头稀土研究院已经研制出新型双筒式室温磁制冷机。每个筒均由两个内外同心嵌套的具有Halbach结构的NdFeB磁场系统组成,最大磁感应强度1.5 T。两内套磁体通过齿轮啮合同步联动运转,实现两工作空间磁场周期变化,并保持相位相反。以金属Gd颗粒作为蓄冷器的制冷工质,零负载条件下达到近18℃的冷热端温差。
Baotou Research Institute of Rare Earth has built a double cylinder style room-temperature magnetic refrigerator.Each magnetic system consists of two nested NdFeB magnets cylinders with Halbach arrays.The maximum magnetic field of the cylindrical volume of the magnetic system is 1.5T.The two inner cylindrical magnets of two magnetic system are in gear.The alternative magnetic field change can be produced by revolving the two inner cylindrical magnets.Preliminary tests have been performed using Gd powder as refrigerant.The maximum temperature span obtained is of approximately 18 ℃ with no thermal load.
