Utilizing the literature analysis method, both the development history and stage characteristics of the excellent engineer education, professional certification, CDIO and OBE of mechanical majors were investigated. The research characteristics and developing trends of the engineering education reform of mechanical majors were discussed. The significant directions of teaching research and reform of mechanical majors were finally determined.
