Currently,the role of inflammation in tumors development has caused widespread concern.Chronic inflammation or tissue damage resulted persistent inflammation promote cell transformation through genetic damage or pro-inflammatory cytokines,and thereby induce chronic inflammation and tumor growth.Inflammatory responses play decisive roles at different stages of tumor development,including initiation,development,malignant conversion,invasion,and metastasis. Inflammation also affects the immune surveillance and response to therapy. Here reviews the research progress of inflammation promoting tumor occurrence and development.
