Facial atrophy is the difficult and complicated disease in clinic. It is hard to be treated with modern medicine. Buzhong yiqi tang is from Nei Wai Shang Bian Huo Lun written by Li Dongheng,which is especially for spleen and stomach qi deficiency and failure of clear yang ascending. Through the precise differentiation based on the theory and principle of TCM,Prof. Tong Xiaolin applies the modified buzhong yiqi tang to the disease and has achieves the significant efficacy. By the collection of the medical data on 1case of facial atrophy,the clinical application of formula and dose was summarized in the paper.
