徽州文化绝非是静止不动的,等待学者阅读的"死去"文本。那么如何以动态的观点借鉴新文化地理学的框架重新解读徽州文化?文章构筑了实体文化空间、经济文化空间与符号文化空间三个层面的研究框架。实体文化空间表现在:徽商在新安江流域充分利用自然环境本体营造聚落民居,在新安江流域营造水口园林形成独特景致,在离居地中心营建私家建筑园林形成园林空间的异地移植。经济文化空间表现在:徽商重视原始资本积累与资本的空间回流,在内外交困中历经兴衰的时空转折,并且比较了徽商没能复活的不同经济文化空间。符号文化空间表现在:徽州山水画创作和积累,在纸上再现徽州文化符号。徽商影视剧在荧屏上再现徽州文化符号。最后讨论认为这三种文化空间共同构建了复合的乡村文化共同体。
