Research technologies for large-scale protein-protein interaction mainly includes yeast two hybrid, tandem affinity purification and protein microarray. With the development and improvement of these technologies, scientists have carried out researches of large-scale protein-protein interaction in model organisms, mammals, pathogenic organisms and of drug development to depict proteome interaction networks and reveal the new functions of proteins. These findings will provide new clues in understanding the molecular mechanisms of the proteome, drug development, and clinical prevention and treatment of diseases.
