英文摘要：

Surface spalling of loess slope threatens the safety of highway and destroys the ecological environment. Distribution laws and its characteristics are got based on lots of information obtained from field investigation：the spalling hazard is related with such factors as limit rate and inclination of slope, particle size composition and salinity of slop mass, soil nature and slope type. The affecting law of every factor for spalling development of loess slope are studied, which can bring actual data for route selection, survey and design of highway engineering in loess area.
