LIU Jun-Wei：Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Electronic Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology of China （USTC）. He received his bachelor degree from USTC in 2004. His research interest covers image processing and analysis, level set, pattern recognition, and video compression. Corresponding author of this paper. From 1991 to 1993, he worked as a research associate in the Department of BME, Case Western Reserve University. His research interest covers bioinformatics, medical imaging,biomedical signal processing, and computer-based medical instrumentation.
