通过制备符合电火花加工要求的多孔质电极并搭建实验系统,对多孔质电极在深孔条件下的电火花加工性能进行了实验研究.结果表明,在工件上表面加工较浅的型腔时,多孔质电极与实体电极的材料去除率相差不大;而在工件上表面加工深孔时,多孔质电极能够以不抬刀的方式进行加工,使其加工效率得到提高,且加工速度不受加工深度的影响;对于较大深度的半封闭复杂型面加工,采用多孔质电极不仅能够提高其粗加工效率,而且可以利用冲液以避免碳柱的产生.
A series of experiments were conducted to investigate the performance of electrical discharge machining(EDM)with porous electrodes.It was found that compared with solid electrodes,the material removal rate(MRR)is lower when processing a shallow cavity using porous electrode.In deep cavity EDM processing,tool lifting is not necessary when using porous electrode and inner-flushing.The machining efficiency can be improved,while not influencing machining depth.The results of deep semi-enclosed complex cavity EDM show that the roughing machining efficiency can be greatly raised.
