采用将边缘元法和欧姆损耗微扰法相结合的办法,研究了任意折射率分布的金属包层平板光波导的传输特性和损耗特性,并由此计算了几种典型任意折射率分布波导的复传播常数.数值结果与文献中用不同方法得到的数据准确吻合,证实了该方法是有效的,具有广泛的适用性.
The propagation constant and attenuation coefficient of the metal-clad graded-index planar optical waveguides were calculated with a new method combining the edge element method with the perturbation treatment. Some metal-clad waveguides with typical refractive index distributions were studied. Very good agreement was achieved between the numerical results obtained with the presented method and those given in the reference, justifying the validity, and proving the broad applicability of the method.
