管涌是堤坝在洪水期间的常见险情。在未发生渗透变形区域的水流用常规渗流理论计算,在管涌通道区域用管流理论,公共边界上两者之间水头相等,流量大小相等且流入和流出方向相反,这种渗流-管流耦合的方法能够描述管涌发展的基本规律。根据水平管道泥沙起动理论和垂直井桶携砂理论提出了临界流速的计算方法。根据临界流速可以判断管涌通道是否继续向前发展。这种方法比传统有限元方法在理论上更合理,同时不会象离散元方法那样过分增加计算工作量。
Piping is a dangerous situation of levees in flood period.This paper proposes a new method that uses pipe flow theory for the piping channel,and conventional seepage theory for the other region.At their common boundary the two regions share water head and discharge rate with opposite sign.The coupling mechanism of seepage-pipe flows allows this method to simulate the advancing pattern of piping.Critical flow rate is evaluated by the theories of sediment incipient motion for the cases of horizontal and vertical piping channels,and a threshold velocity is used to determine whether piping channel advances in the erosion course.The proposed method is on a better physical ground than traditional finite element method,while it induces little extra computational cost.
