With the rapid development of information and electronic industry, DIP（Double In-line Package）chips are widely used in various kinds of electronic products. However, a large number of abandoned DIP chips are engendered in the recycling and dismantling process of the electronic products and the mechanical deformations of DIP chip pins are inevitably engendered. If the pins of the DIP chips are shaped appropriately through proper methods and devices, these IC chips can be reused by refurbishment after being tested. Based on various mechanical deformations of DIP chip pins and compared with the existing pin shaping apparatuses, a kind of new pin shaping device is designed for DIP chips, which has advantages of wide adapting range, high operating efficiency and high ratio of performance to price.
