During Oct. 2011 to May 2012, the Greater Mekong Subregion attracted the worlds＇attention by ＂Mekong River Massacre＂. Based on the analysis of strategic significance, the new international situation, and the new contradictions China faces in the cooperative development of resources in this region, the paper gives the suggestion that China should play a greater role in the resources developing, security and stability in the Greater Mekong Subregion.
