For the satellite images, the cloud regions of tropical storm are analyzed and segmented by an improved algorithm based on the color value and gray scale, and then the clouds volume data is generated. An accelerated ray-casting algorithm based on the coherence of the 3D data field is utilized on the tropical storm clouds visualization. Finally, the tropical storm clouds is viewed from any perspective angle and an animation method is Drooosed.
