PIWI-interacting RNA(piRNA)是近年来新发现的一类小RNA分子,属于非编码RNA家族中的一员,通过结合argonaute蛋白的PIWI亚家族发挥作用。piRNA与生殖干细胞干性的维持、配子形成、胚胎发育等生殖事件和多种疾病的发生发展密切相关。PIWI/piRNA途径参与调控肿瘤的增殖、转移和侵袭,并与预后相关。本文着重介绍PIWI/piRNA的生物学功能以及在肿瘤中的研究进展。
PIWI-interacting RNAs (piRNAs) are a new class of small RNA molecules recently discovered, belong to non-coding RNAs family. They exert their function by interacting with the PIWI subfamily of Argonaute protein, maintain the properties of germline stem cells, participate in gamete formation, fetation and other reproductive events, and also related to pathogenesis of many diseases. PIWI/piRNA pathway regulates the proliferation, migration and invasion of tumors, and is related to prognosis. In this paper, the research progress of PIWI/piRNA in biological functions and tumors is emphatically discussed.
