大学生结构设计竞赛是一项极富创新意识和挑战意识的科技竞赛，但受到参赛经验以及培养理念及模式等方面的限制，部分高校在参加大学生结构设计竞赛的过程中，教师的积极引导作用常难以充分发挥，学生的综合能力并未通过竞赛得到有效提高。结合大学生结构设计竞赛指导教师的经历，就目前大学生综合素质发展方面面临的问题进行深入分析。以第八届中南地区大学生结构设计竞赛为例，对如何通过大学生结构设计竞赛实现大学生综合能力的培养进行分析和研究，所得结论供国内同行借鉴和参考。

英文摘要：

Student structural design competition is one scientifical competition full of consciousness of innovation and challenge.However,limited to little experience and improper education idea,when attending student structural design competition,sometimes the teachers'guiding function can not be fully developed,and the students's comprehensive ability can not be improved effectively by the competition.According to the guide experience of structure design competition,this paper analyszed the present difficulties and trouble about college students'comprehensive quality development based on structure design competition.At last,taken the Eighth structure design competition of the central south region as an example,the method of how to develop college students'comprehensive ability through structure design competition is presented,which can be taken for reference.
