The comparative study of different layouts of surge tank plays an indispensable part in the planning and designing of the long - distance pressure diversion - type hydropower station. Meanwhile, the investment costs of pressure tunnel and pipeline and the stability of the entire work of the diversion system closely relate with the selection and location of surge shaft.
