Notch signaling pathway regulates apoptosis in multiple cell types. Recent evidences indicate that notch signaling is involved in tooth development,dental pulp injury and repair,oral cancer,and may play important role in regulation of cell apoptosis. Here we review the role of Notch signaling in cell apoptosis with emphasis on research progresses in stomatology.
