A new support system, named concrete-cored deep cement mixing （DCM） pile, for deep foundation pit supporting was introduced. The gate-shaped pile was applied to deep foundation pit supporting in a high-rise building project of Nanjing University. The active earth pressure, passive earth pressure, axial forces, and bending moments of piles were analyzed, and the calculation method for determination of pile length was given. The study provides a design method for deep foundation pit supporting.
