It is pointed out in Vision and Actions on Jointly Building Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road that, the ＂Belt and Road Initiative＂ Construction shall be advanced by taking advantage of the multilateral and bilateral mechanisms including SCO. The SCO supports the construction of Silk Road Economic Belt, while the Silk Road Economic Belt also conforms to the development objectives of SCO. After China proposed the ＂Belt and Road Initiative＂, great interest has been shown by the SOC members and they are now actively seeking for strategic link with the Silk Road Economic Belt. To achieve the link between the Silk Road Economic Belt and Eurasian Economic Union, the SCO is the important platform. In the future, the SCO free trade area construction can be promoted, so that the safe cooperation function of SCO can convoy the Silk Road Economic Belt.
