面对日趋复杂的网络,网络的管理变得越来越重要,而网络的故障管理、配置管理、性能管理等都离不开网络拓扑。因此如何高效准确地获得网络拓扑,一直是网络拓扑研究中的一个热点和难点。鉴于此,提出了基于TraceNET的多源协作的拓扑测量方法,并且将该方法用于中国科学技术大学(USTC)校园网拓扑测量,结果表明该方法可以高效准确地绑定路由器的别名和发现子网,因此所提方法具有较高的应用价值。基于USTC校园网上高效准确的测量结果,将此测量方法用于中国教育科研网(CERNET)拓扑测量,可以获得的路由器级拓扑为管理和研究Internet提供了较大价值的参考。
Network management becomes more and more important for today’s Internet, and the Internet’s topology plays a key role in the Internet’s fault avoidance, configuration management and performance improvement. However, accu-rately obtaining the Internet’s topology has become a difficult problem for a long time. This paper proposes a novel multi-source topology mapping methodology based TraceNET, and applies this approach for mapping the topologies of the cam-pus network of USTC and CERNET. The measurement results suggest that this method solves the router IP alias resolu-tion and the subnet discovery problems very efficiently, and accurately obtains the network topologies in terms of routers and subnets, therefore providing valuable topological information on the Internet for network management and study.
