Some combined GOCE and EGM08 geopotential models are established using Wenzel＇ s weighted spectral combination approach. Cumulative geoid errors show that combined models have better performance than the EGM08 model alone. Results of geoid differences at GPS/leveling bench- mark in America indicate that a Dir4＋EGM08 combined model has best performance amongst others, enhancing geoid precision up to 8% relative to EGM08 model.
