本文提出了一种基于波纹形结构的透反聚合物稳定蓝相液晶显示器。为了匹配透射区和反射区的相位延迟,提出了两种周期性的波纹形电极结构来产生分布于整个液晶层的强水平电场。第一种结构采用的是相同的电极倾斜角度,但在透射区和反射区的液晶盒厚不同;第二种结构是在透射区和反射区采用相同的液晶盒厚,但是电极倾斜角度不同。两种结构都能获得良好匹配的电压-透射率和电压-反射率曲线。当该显示器的工作电压为9.7V时,透过率可以达到89.05%。所提出的结构具有低工作电压、高透过率和宽视角的特点。
A transflective polymer-stabilized blue-phase liquid-crystal display(BP-LCD)with a corrugated electrode structure is proposed.To balance the optical phase retardation between the transmissive(T)and reflective(R)regions,two device structures are proposed.The periodic corrugated electrodes generate a strong horizontal electric field symmetrically distributed across the entire LC layer.The first device structure employs the same inclination angles but different cell gaps in the T and R regions.And the second device structure employs the same cell gap but different inclination angles in the T and R regions.Both of the device structures can obtain well-matched VT and VR curves.When the operating voltage is 9.7V,the transmittance can achieve 89.05%.The proposed structure exhibits low operating voltage,high optical efficiency,and a wide viewing angle.
