The alternating group network AN_n(n 3) is defined as the Cayley graph on the alternating group A_n of degree n with respect to {(1 2 3),(1 3 2),(1 2)(3 i) |4≤i≤n}.Zhou and Xiao[Information Processing Letters,110(2010),403-409]deduced the fault tolerance of alternating group network with the number of fault vertices |F|≤3n—10.In this paper,we discuss the fault tolerance of alternating group network with |F|≤6n—24,and completely characterize all small components,of AN_n / F with |F|≤6n - 18 for n≥5.
