This paper related to reuse of poultry feather which has been causing environmental nuisance due to its large quantities cast away as wastes.Methods of extracting keratin from feather were reviewed and applications of keratin to various industrial sectors summarized as well.Besides,the function of poultry feather itself as an adsorbent material to purify water pollutants such as oil spills and heavy metals was introduced.
