The robust stability of linear systems with time-varying delay was considered in a given range. A new Lyapunov functional was constructed to introduce some state variables related to time-varying delay. Some less conservative results were derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities with respect to nominal systems and systems with norm-bounded uncertainties, respectively. Some numerical examples show the effectiveness of the derived results.
