The paper dealt with large amounts of monitoring data of the grand cannel in Hangzhou and the feelings of the public. Main factors of the public concerned on quality of the grand cannel water were found out. Scene description, survey statistics and monitoring data were compared and fitted. The accuracy and reliability of evaluation of canal water by the public were assessed.
