Big data and big data technology are the current research hot spots in information field. The background of big data and the fourth scientific research paradigm--data paradigm were described. The changes of academic information exchange methods in fourth scientific research paradigm and big data were analyzed followed by an analysis of the change of special library with them using the advances in biomedical field and application scene as examples. The change of big data-related special library concept and need of talents was put forward.
