通过SiC晶须增韧B4C-Si复合陶瓷,改善其韧性,研究了晶须加入量对复合陶瓷材料的弯曲强度和断裂韧性的影响,并分析了其显微结构.碳化硅晶须加入量5%为佳,其弯曲强度和断裂韧性分别达到467.99 MPa和5.77MPa·m1/2,断裂韧性提高了近35%.
B4C-Si composites were fabricated through SiC whiskers reinforcement.Effects of the addition of SiCw on the flexural strength and fracture toughness of SiCw-B4C-Si ceramic composites were investigated.The microstructure was analyzed by SEM.The results showed that when the doping amount of SiCw reached the optimal 5 wt.%,the flexural strength and fracture toughness of the composites were 467.9 MPa and 5.77 MPa·m1/2 respectively,and the fracture toughness of the composite was improved by almost 35%.
