Exosomes are nanometer sized membrane vesicles widely distributed in biological fluids, which are released in the extracellular milieu following the fusion of the extemal membrane of multivesicular body(MVB) with plasma membrane, with the characters of body tolerance and specific homing ability. Exosomes can carry proteins and RNAs and may be involved in intercellular substance transporting and signaling of tumor. In recent years, the role of exosomes in malignant tumor has gradually become hot spots, and especially targeted therapy based on exosomes has become a new orientation in the treatment of cancer. This review will discuss the latest advances of exosomes as the carriers of biological information in the treatment of cancer.
