随着美国创新经济的崛起，创新机构和企业快速向中心城市集聚并形成特定地理空间组织，学术界将此类以创新为主导功能的城市功能区定义为创新城区。在参考文献研究和总结创新城区实践基础上，对创新城区的概念和内涵，创新城区要素构成和典型类型，美国创新城区成长动力与发展机制、空间组织共性规律等分别予以探讨。提出创新城区作为创新时代的新经济空间，将成为未来中国创新驱动、转型发展进程中的重要平台，当前研究和规划工作仍存在诸多问题，需要打破传统思维，按照创新经济内在规律进行规划和建设，并提出相应的政策启示。

英文摘要：

With the rise of innovative economy in American, the institutions and enterprises for innovation are gathering to central cities rapidly and making specific urban spatial organization. We define such urban areas which take innovation functions as innovation districts. Based on reference literatures and case studies, the paper explains the concept and connotation of innovation districts, their assets and typical types, also includes the impetus and development mechanism, spatial organization. The paper puts forward that as the new economic space in innovative era, the innovation districts will become important platforms for China＇s transformation development. But current researches and planning work still exist many problems and need to break traditional thinking according to the inherent laws of innovation economy to carry out planning and construction work. Finally, the paper also puts forward corresponding policy implications.
