Four FPGA-based a/c pulse shape discriminationalgorithms for BaF2 detector are investigated and comparedin this paper. A 2-GSPS fast waveform samplingboard based on DRS4 chip is employed to sample thepulses. The test results with a 22Na c-source and the naturalradioactivity of BaF2 show good discrimination performanceof the algorithms, with false rates around 1%. Smalllogical resource occupancy and short dead time areachieved. About 4400 slices are used in FPGA for pulsesampling and real-time discrimination altogether.
