With the rapid development of China＇sload of its wastewater is increasing, and has exceeded thelarge-scale marine aquaculture industry, the emissionamount of land-origin wastewater discharge, which cancause serious ocean environmental problem; therefore, treatment and emission control of large-scale marineaquaculture wastewater has become a research hotspot in recent years. The development status of domestic ma-rine aquaculture industry was introduced with the quality and quantity of its wastewater analyzed at the sametime, the research status of the marine aquaculture wastewater treatment technologies in China and abroad wereelaborated, the development direction of the said kind of wastewater treatment technologies and policies wereprospected, which might provide reference for marine environmental protection and marine aquaculture industrydevelopment.
