汶川大地震突如其来，建筑物大量倒塌或严重破坏．地震发生后，笔者奔赴四川绵竹、陕西宝鸡、宁强等灾区，进行了为期10余天的抗震救灾与调研工作．经调查发现，木结构建筑表现出优越的抗震性能，仅有少数年久失修的木结构建筑发生倒塌及部分木结构民居破坏严重，绝大部分木结构建筑只发生轻微破坏甚至完好无损．根据古建筑木结构在汶川地震中的震害，分析了木结构建筑震害轻微的原因，借鉴木结构建筑的抗震机理，提出了灾后重建的建议．

英文摘要：

Wenchuan Earthquake occurred all of a sudden on May 12 ,whose subsequent waves shoook half areas of China. Lots of people died and countless buildings collapse or damage ,severely in this calastrophe. The authors investigated the seismic damage and characteristics of the wood frame buildings in Mianzhu City, Baoji City and Ningqiang City etc. The wood frame buildings represented typical seismic performance during the disaster. Only a few old wood buildings collapsed and part of the civil buildings were damaged severely and most of the wood buildings were damaged slightly or freefrom damage at all. Then the damage mechanism of wood buildings were analyzed and suggestions put forward for the reconstruction of buildings in the disaster area.
