Coetzee contextualizes the writing position of the novel "Foe" in light of South African postcolonial context, and has a postmodem rewriting of "Robinson Crusoe". Coetzee employs all kinds of postmodernism narra- tive ploys to undermine the sense of true history, which is constructed by realistic language. Consequently, it reveals the power structure in the history composition, and finally forms the theme of subverting the hegemony of im- perialism culture. So it can be said that Coetzee' s literary deconstruction of traditional realism is a writing act of decolonization.
