为了解决多模光纤(MMF)通信系统中的自适应调制光正交频分复用(AMO-OFDM)技术存在的算法复杂度、自适应调制方案的具体硬件实现难度大等问题,本文提出了一种自适应功率分配光正交频分复用(APAO-OFDM)技术,并给出了一种高效的自适应功率分配算法。仿真结果表明,等信噪比(SNR)功率分配方式的APAO-OFDM技术能够获得与AMO-OFDM技术相近的最大传输速率性能,当最大传输速率低于14Gbit/s时两者需要的发射光功率几乎相等。
A novel technique named adaptive power allocation optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(APAO-OFDM) is proposed in this paper. The efficient adaptive power allocation algorithm is also developed. In comparison with the adaptively modulated optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(AMO-OFDM) technique, the simulation results show that the two techniques based on equal SNR power allocation can achieve similar maximum transmission performance, but the cost of APAO-OFDM may be low. In addition,the required optical transmitter power coupled into multimode fibers (MMFs) in APAO-OFDM systems is very similar to that used in the AMO-OFDM systems when the transmission capacity is lower than 14 Gbit/s.
