本文在梳理Bray论著的基础上，对单位制度起源说进行了整理．对单位制度在不同阶段中国城市社会分化中的作用、单位制度对中国城市转型的空间响应与社会影响进行了初步分析。作者认为单位制度不仅是理解单位制前三十年中国城市社会与空间变革的重要视角，同时也是理解后单位制时期及转型期中国城市变化的重要视角。
英文摘要：
Based on the analysis of Bray＇s works, the authors coordinated the papers and work on the origination of Danwei system, and explained the function, social and spatial effects of Danwei system in the process of city transformation in China. The authors believe that Danwei system is an angle of view which could help us understand social and spatial changes of cities in China not only before the system established, but also post Danwei system.
