Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-4-hydroxybutyrate)[P(3HB-co-4HB)] is a kind of new biodegradable plastic. The modification progress of P(3HB-co-4HB) was introduced,which mainly covers chemical modification such as chain modification, graft modification,and radiation crosslinking modification and physical modification of nucleation,plasticizing,blending modification and so on. The problems of P(3HB-co-4HB) research were also analyzed and the future development of P(3HB-co-4HB) was discussed.
