成功地使用粒子群优化(PSO)算法优化设计了多级S波段EDFA,仿真结果表明,输入信号功率为-20dBm时在1486~1520nm可实现平坦增益,两级泵浦总功率为380mW,平均增益可达10dB以上,增益平坦度小于0.1dB,噪声系数小于5dB,满足WDM/DWDM系统的需求。另外,还重点对插入长波长ASE滤波器以改善S波段EDFA系统性能的分配方案及优化方法进行了分析和讨论。
A multi-stage S-band EDFA is successfully designed using particle swarm optimization(PSO) algorithm.The simulation results show that flatten gain can be obtained at-20 dBm of signal output power and 1 486~1 520 nm,the total pump power of two stages is 380 mW,the average gain is more than 10 dB,the gain flatness is less than 0.1 dB,noise figure is less than 5 dB,which can meet the requirements of WDM/DWDM.In addition the allocation scheme and optimization method for improving the system performance of S-band EDFA,which inserts long-wavelength ASE filter,are analyzed and discussed.
