The merits of chemical education in terms of teaching content and teaching method as well as evaluating system of National University of Singapore（NUS） were discussed.The deficiencies in university chemical education in China were pointed out by comparing with Singapore,and finally effective means for chemical educational reform in universities of China were probed drawn on the experience of chemical education of NUS.
