Listening is more and more important with the reform of listening teaching. Many linguists are trying to find some effective methods to improve the teaching methods. But it is far away from the results. During the process we find that the students can＇ t understand the implied meaning of listening materials, which is call conversational implicature. It is raised by Grice. He thinks in many cases, people convey their implied meanings. Understanding these implied meaning is very important to improve the listening abilities.
