In the traditional clinical medical education,students have limited opportunities to practice, which leads to doctor-patient disputes. With the development of technology, the use of virtual reality （VR ） technology in teaching can effectively solve this problem. V R technology has been gradually applied in many aspects of obstetrics and gynecology. Training in V R gynecological laparoscopy is the most widely used. At present, the fourth generation of V R simulation system has the functions of providing mechanical feedback and guiding surgery. Meanwhile, V R technology also has the advantages of shorter learning curve and higher participation in gynecological robotic surgery training, hysteroscopy, and obstetrical emergency management. Therefore, V R simulation will have broad prospects of development in the future.
