A dynamic windows based color extraction algorithm of moving vehicle is proposed.The color extraction windows are adjusted according to the vehicle center coordinates and vehicle types in traffic scene.The RGB color model is used in color extraction algorithm.The main color of vehicle is judged by color moment and second moment.Experiments are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and benefits of the proposed method.
