The southern segment of Taihang Mountainous Region,located in the southeast of Shanxi,112° 26′～113°35′E, 35°10′～37°8′N. There is various wild plant resources in the mountainous region,including spermatophyte 125 families, 456 genera, 976 species based on the survey. According to their economic uses. they are divided into 12 groups. （/）fiber plants 98; （2）oil plants 147; （3）fragrant plants 66; （4）tannin plants 65; （5）starch plants 98; （6）fruit plants t36; （7）honey plants 88; （8）forage plants 166; （9）medicinal plants 426 ; （10） farm chemical plants 72 ; （11） vegetable plants 68 ; （12） ornament plants 239. Moreover, some strategies for protecting and utilizing the wild plant resources are discussed.
