利用扫描电子显微镜对华北地区繁缕属18种2变种以及同亚科5属6种的种皮微形态特征进行了观察研究.结果表明,繁缕属种皮细胞均为齿轮状,所研究的类群可大致分为以下2种类型:1)具有蛛丝状或颗粒状附属物,缺少次级纹饰;2)具有蛛丝状或颗粒状附属物的同时,表面具瘤状突起.种皮微形态特征所做的类型划分与传统的属下组的划分并不吻合,因此,不能作为分组的鉴别性状.种皮细胞齿的数目和种皮纹饰等在部分种类中存在明显差异,可作为种类划分和探讨亲缘关系的依据.繁缕亚科其他5属植物的种皮微形态同样出现齿轮状结构,说明齿轮结构可能是这些类群的共有祖征.
Micromorphological characteristics of seed coat of 18 species and 2 variations of Stellaria L. and 6 species of other genera from Northern China was examined under SEM. It was found that the micromorphological coat in Stellaria resembled a cogwheel. These characteristics can be divided into two types: either of 1) granular or cobweb surface, but lacks secondary sculpturing, or of 2) granular or cobweb surface, also, with an auter surface with papillate. These categorization based on micromorphology of seed coat is inconsistent with traditional categorization under genera, so, it can not be used as evidence for dividing the sections. The number of teeth and sculpture of seed coat have predominant differences among certain species, providing some evidence for the division and the discussion of relationship among certain species. The cogwheel is also present in species of other 5 genera, showing that the cogwheel may be the symplesiomorphous features for this group.
